Missions
Our missions embrace both local and global projects including:
Local
- We support the Allen Community Outreach (service area Allen, Fairview & Lucas), but also we provide food and Christmas gifts assistance to those in our extended community (Princeton and various communities by Lake Lavon).
- Sending care packages to college students and troups
- Donations for Newborns in Need-Parkland Hospital
Our United Methodist Women extend our missions by supporting fundraisers for:
- The Samaritan Inn - Collin County Homeless Shelter -
- Wesley Rankin (West Dallas) Community Center
- United Methodist Children's Home -residential and foster care for children (in Waco)
- Hope's Door - women's shelter for victims of domestic violence in Collin County
Global
- A young adult (from our local church) is working in Peru for two years.
- A young adult (from our local church) worked in Honduras at The House of Hope http://www.send-hope.org/
- Crop Walk - to help the hungry
- 30-hr Famine worldvision.org
- Heifer Project - provides livestock and training to alleviate hunger and poverty http://www.heifer.org/
