The Purpose of United Methodist Women
The organized unit of United Methodist Women shall be a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.
2007 Future Other Activities:
- Turn in pledges in Jan
- Budget should be available for approval in Feb meeting
- Nominating Committee meets in August to prepare the 2008 slate of officers for election in Sept.
- Mission team meets in October to Plan 2008 programs and budget.
- 2008- Hobo Stew and Dessert Auction Fundraiser for Samaritan Inn, Hope's Door and Methodist Children's Home
- Cornbread: Marcia /AJ/Jackie; Ice Tea & Cheese: Linda Gillick; Crackers (saltines) & soft drinks- Julie; Bowls & Ice: Jeri (2 kinds of bowls, one snaplid); Meat: Cindy & Patsy
